On the 20th of July, 2014 “Vallex” group companies together with the Municipalities of Alaverdi city and Lori region organized festal ceremonies on the Day of Miners and Metallurgists, the Day of Alaverdi and the 244th anniversary of Alaverdi copper smelter. Celebration started in the square next to the Teghout hotel-dormitory complex, where on the newly constructed flagpole first time the state flags of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as the flags of “Vallex Mining” and “Vallex Group” were raised.
Afterwards, awarding ceremony took place: for the efficient work and professional performance “Vallex” group companies awarded certificates and monetary rewards to 24 employees of “Teghout”, “Armenian Copper Programme”, “Base Metals” and “Vallex Tour” CJSC-s. An official dinner then was given in the restaurant near Teghout hotel-dormitory complex.
Within the framework of the festal events National Academic Theatre after Gabriel Sundukyan presented the performance “Irreversible future” by Khoren Amatuni. Celebration continued in Alaverdi city.
In the hall “Piritik” in the event organized for the employees of “ACP” CJSC Lori governor Arthur Nalbandyan, mayor of Alaverdi Artavazd Varosyan, and chairman of “Vallex” group companies Valeri Mejlumyan and Alaverdi Pastor Ter Mikayel Shaghoyan congratulated the copper smelter working staff and discussion on projects of “Vallex” group companies. By the order of the executive board chairman for the efficient work and professional performance certificates and monetary were handed to 10 employees of “Armenian Copper Programme” CJSC.
Celebration continued in stadium “Metallurgist” where Lori governor Arthur Nalbandyan, mayor of Alaverdi Artavazd Varosyan, and chairman of “Vallex Group” companies Valeri Mejlumyan and Alaverdi Pastor Ter Mikayel Shaghoyan congratulated thousands of people. Here by the order of the executive board chairman of “ACP” CJSC certificates and monetary reward were handed to Gagik Ghardyan for the “Armenian Copper Programme” CJSC for the “Fruitful work in Metallurgy” and to citizen of Alaverdi Avet Tamazyan for the “Services provided to Alaverdi city”. For the “Fruitful work in Mining” by the order of the executive board chairman of “Teghout” CJSC certificate and monetary reward were handed to “Teghout” CJSC Open Pit head Mkhail Yesayan.
Also the union of “Maners and metallurgists of Armenia” rewarded the employees of “Vallex” group” companies with medals and certificates. The celebration ended with a great concert of Armenian stars and a firework.
