Company is looking for a lawyer, who will provide legal support and strategic advice to our mining company management and contract administration.

Location: Yerevan, Armenia and Martakert, Artsakh
Duration: Permanent

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess client contracts as they are presented to project managers by applying the usual analytical skills of a qualified lawyer (particularly to identify obligations, risks and opportunities arising from the contract terms) Managing the workflow of contract reviewing.
  • Provide drafting advice to project managers in connection with client contracts Ad hoc administrative duties where required.
  • Negotiate, or assist project managers to negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice to project managers on contractual rights, obligations and opportunities.
  • Advice to technical consultants, project and business managers on drafting forms, procedures and contracts.
  • Provide legal analysis and advice (and carry out other tasks as required) in connection with disputes and potential disputes between the Company and other parties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • A relevant qualification in law (or related discipline with suitable legal experience).
  • Professional and practical knowledge of the Armenian and Artsakh legislation, especially the mining law.
  • 2 years of prior legal experience, preferably in mining sphere.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to consistently provide high quality written work.
  • Strong written, oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are a must.

  • Experience in creating legal documents, in Armenian, Russian and English languages.
  • Fluency in Armenian, Russian and English languages, both verbal and written.
  • Good knowledge of basic Office programs (e.g. MS Word and Excel).
