The delegation of “Vallex” group companies, led by the president Valeri Mejlumyan, on 10th of March visited the national Polytechnic University of Armenia.
In the reception room of the rector the guests were met by the rector Vostanik Marukhyan, and the deputy rector, president of SC – Gor Vardanyan. From NPUA were also present Marinka Baghdasaryan, as well as the vice-rector for Educational-methodological work and head of UVM, vice-rector, director of mechanical engineering, transport systems and design institute – Karen Arzumanyan. “Vallex” group delegation headed by the Chairman of the group of companies Valeri Mejlumyan was consisted of the executive director of «Armenian Copper Programme» CJSC – Lusine Mejlumyan, the vice president of the executive board of the company “Lernametalurgiai Institute” – Sahak Arzumanyan, and the head of Mass media and PR department – Taguhi Karapetyan.
During the meeting with professors, lecturers and students of NPUA, Chairman of “Vallex” group companies and the members of the delegation in their speeches touched upon the importance of education in the context of the future of present generation, its development and possible professionalism of its employees. The leaders of “Vallex” group expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation with students of the University. During the meeting financial and economic indicators were presented (“Armenian Copper Programme” 2010-2017, modernization project of Alaverdi copper smelting plant, prospects for mining in Armenia and Artsakh), cognitive films about the companies of the group were introduced. At the end of the meeting a frank question and answer took place.
