In the cultural centre of Shnogh village, RA Lori region, the next meeting within the framework of Stakeholder Engagement Plan (hereinafter Plan) of Teghout mining and processing plant construction and copper-molybdenum deposit exploitation project was held on October 29, 2014. Temporary and permanent residents of Teghout, Shnogh, and other communities of RA Lori region (who may view the Company as a potential employer), representatives of community, city and Lori region municipalities, ‘Teghout” cjsc (hereinafter Company) employees, former owners of the property existing in the territory of Company’s activity, specialists of the local and international ecological NGO-s, representatives of environmental scientific-research institutions, environmental specialists, public activists, mass media, individuals and representatives of the professional organizations engaged in study and preservation of historical and cultural monuments, representatives of Armenian Apostolic Church had been invited to the meeting.

This was an open meeting, so other groups of stakeholder also had chance to participate.

The announcement of the meeting was placed on the official web site of the Company, broadcasted on the channel “Ankyun + 3”, and distributed via press release.

From October 15, 2014 to November 15, 2014, registers were opened in the offices of the company at the addresses 19th Khanjyan str. Yerevan city, in the municipalities of Teghout and Shnogh villages and Alaverdi city, in order to provide opportunity for the stakeholders to make comments, suggestions, concerns and other messages regarding the issues included in the agenda.

The meeting was attended by over 35 people, including Shnogh village community head and council members, as well as other representatives from the village, representatives of TV channel “Ankyun + 3”.

In the meeting, the Company was represented by vice-president of “Vallex” group companies Gagik Arzumanyan, Head of Administrative Service Department Ruben Papoyan and other stuff.
In the framework of meeting agenda, the updated version of the Plan, The procedure on food purchase from nearby communities, the drafts on closing the Teghout copper-molybdenum deposit , as well as the issue of fruit orchards creation program and its continuity by “Manes” Charitable Fund were presented and discussed.

Attendees had opportunity to ask questions to the representatives of the Company and get answers and explanations about the questions, which were not included in the agenda.
